Hi, I'm Sarah, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Psychotherapist in New Jersey; it would my privilege to work with you to meet your mental health goals.
I am a Neurodiversity Affirming Therapist. Simply put, that means my approach to mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment is affirming, strengths based, and non pathologizing. My practice is LGBTQ+ Affirming.
I am experienced in working with clients from diverse backgrounds who are seeking a compassionate, supportive psychotherapist to help them achieve their mental health goals through the use of high quality, evidence based, treatment approaches that are tailored to each client's unique needs.
My Approach to Therapy:
You are the expert about your own life!
My role as your therapist is to use my education, training, and clinical experience to help you achieve your mental health goals. My approach to therapy is conversational, affirming, and client centered. n our first session, you can expect to be met with warmth, compassion & supportive conversation, Zero pressure to "tell me everything" or find the "right words".
I will work hard to create a safe, comfortable space where you can feel free to be yourself, without judgement.
By the end of our first session my goal is that you feel seen, heard, and confident, that as your therapist, I will be by your side on your journey to meet your therapeutic goals.
